(220616) -- REDANG ISLAND, June 16, 2022 (Xinhua) -- Unhatched eggs are seen as volunteers check the sea turtle nest at the Chagar Hutang Turtle Sanctuary, at the northern part of Redang Island, Terengganu, Malaysia, on June 15, 2022. The Chagar Hutang Turtle Sanctuary is one of the main nesting sites for green and hawksbill turtles. The annual nesting period for green sea turtles usually falls around March to October, with a peak in May to July. In 2005, the Terengganu State government declared Chagar Hutang beach as a sea turtle sanctuary. Since then, Chagar Hutang has been restricted to the public, allowing only researchers, volunteers and eligible visitors to enter the beach. (Xinhua/Zhu Wei)
