Staff at the maritime protection bureau of Sansha and researchers from Hainan Normal University moved the eggs in two sea turtle nests to man-made nests at higher ground. Chaba, the third typhoon of the year, made landfall in the coastal area of Maoming City, south China's Guangdong Province, at around 3 p.m. Saturday.
