A handover ceremony of earthquake relief donated by a Chinese firm was held on Thursday in the Afghan capital Kabul.
Chinese Ambassador to Afghanistan Wang Yu, Sheikh Shahabuddin Delawar, acting minister of mines and petroleum of Afghanistan's Taliban-led caretaker government and Mawlawi Sharafuddin Muslim, deputy minister of state for disaster management and humanitarian affairs, attended the ceremony.
At the ceremony, Wang said the Chinese government immediately announced emergency humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan, and the MCC-JCL Aynak Minerals Company Ltd. (MJAM) has also donated materials to help Afghan disaster victims since the earthquake occured.
