STORYLINE:
The sixth Frontline Dog Day was celebrated Sunday at the Victory Museum, one of the world's largest war and history museums, in Moscow.
This annual family festival of four-legged heroes is dedicated to the feat and service of dogs during the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945). This year, the event brought together around 2,000 people.
The Frontline Dog Day was established in honor of a heroic deed of an army shepherd called Dina. During the war, she dropped off explosives in front of the upcoming Germans but survived herself.
