Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar met with his visiting Israeli counterpart Benny Gantz on Thursday in Ankara.
The two ministers have vowed to enhance bilateral security and defense cooperation.
Akar told a joint press conference after the meeting that he and Gantz exchanged information and views on further development of stability, cooperation and security in the region.
Akar said they both believed increasing communication and cooperation will help resolve disagreements on certain issues, particularly the Palestine one, adding that he and Gantz agreed to improve relations on these issues by taking advantage of existing experiences.
Gantz, for his part, said the two countries must keep an open dialogue to sustain a consistent and positive approach to each other.
