103-year-old painter Ogura receives honorary doctorate
Yuki Ogura (2nd from L), a 103-year-old Japanese-style painter, receives an honorary doctorate for her contributions to arts from prestigious Nara Women's University in a ceremony at her residence in the city of Kamakura, outside of Tokyo. Masako Niwa (R), president of the university, presented the doctorate to Ogura, an alumnus of the predecessor of Nara Women's University. Ogura received the Order of Culture in 1980.
