Delacroix's masterpiece unpacked at Tokyo museum

Tokyo National Museum's officials unpack a masterpiece by French painter Eugene Delacroix on Feb. 22. The painting, ''laLiberte guidant le peuple (Liberty Leading the People)'' will be displayed in the museum from Feb. 26 to March 28. The masterpiece left its home at the Louvre Museum in Paris to be shown for the first time in Japan as part of the yearlong ''Year of France in Japan'' festival.

    TOKYO, Japan - A visitor looks at ''Mural on Indian Red Ground,'' a work by U.S. artist Jackson Pollock (1912-1956), which belongs to the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, at the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo in February 2012.
