Antenna for Japan's future satellite unveiled

TOKYO, Japan - This chandelier-typed antenna, unveiled for a press preview at a Toshiba Corp. plant in Fuchu, western Tokyo, on June 5, will be carried by an experimental satellite to be launched possibly in fiscal 2003 by the National Space Development Agency. It has 14 folding umbrellas made of gold-coated woven molybdenum threads.
