Panel recommends English study using songs, games
TOKYO, Japan - Education Minister Hirofumi Nakasone (L) looks at a report he received from Mineo Nakajima (R), president of the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, on June 30. Nakajima heads an advisory panel aimed at reviewing and revising English-teaching methods in Japanese schools. His report recommended using methods such as singing and playing games to familiarize third graders and up with the English language.
