Father, sister of missing British woman meet press

TOKYO, Japan - Tim and Sophie Blackman, the father and sister of a 21-year-old British woman missing in Japan, meet the press July 13 at the British Embassy in Tokyo. Lucie Blackman disappeared after leaving her apartment in Tokyo's Shibuya Ward on July 1. Two days later, a British friend of hers, Louise Phillips, received a call from a man speaking in broken English saying Blackman was undergoing training in a new religion in Chiba Prefecture.

He made the announcement at a news conference at the British Embassy in Tokyo. Lucie reportedly went missing after leaving her apartment in Tokyo on July 1.
