Expert predicts no major eruption at Mt. Komagatake

SAPPORO, Japan - Hokkaido University professor Hiromu Okada (C) speaks at a news conference Sept. 5. The top volcanologist who observed the newly active Mt. Komagatake in southwestern Hokkaido by helicopter said that chances of the mountain's major eruption are not high.
