Nippon Steel, Usinor sign global alliance deal
TOKYO, Japan - Makoto Kihara (R), executive vice president of Nippon Steel Corp., and Jean-Louis Ricaud, senior executive vice president of Usinor SA, shake hands at a press conference in Nippon Steel's head office in Tokyo on Jan. 23. Nippon Steel, the world's second-largest steelmaker, and France's Usinor, Europe's largest steelmaker, signed an alliance agreement in the business of steel sheets for use in automobiles.
