Pilots' union meets press on near-miss incident
TOKYO, Japan - Officials of a Japanese pilots' union meet the press at a Tokyo hotel on Feb. 3 regarding the Jan. 31 near-miss incident involving two Japan Airlines (JAL) planes over central Japan. Forty-two passengers and crew members were injured in the near miss between JAL Flight 907, a Boeing 747 bound for Okinawa from Tokyo's Haneda airport, and Flight 958, a DC-10 en route to Narita airport from Pusan in South Korea.
