Usen to launch optical fiber Internet access service for homes

TOKYO, Japan - Yasuhide Uno, president of cable music provider usen Corp., announces at a press conference in Tokyo on Feb. 14 that the company will begin offering households high-speed Internet access service via optical fibers in March. Uno said the speed of the service will be 100 megabits per second and claimed it will be the fastest service available in the world.
