Sony 1st-half earnings in red

TOKYO, Japan - Teruhisa Tokunaka, vice president of Sony Corp., announces fiscal first half earnings results at a news conference at the Tokyo Stock Exchange on Oct. 25. The high-tech giant posted a group pretax loss of 13.72 billion yen in the April-September period, a sharp reversal from the profit of 113.73 billion yen marked in the same period a year before.
