Crown Princess Masako meets emperor, empress

TOKYO, Japan - Crown Princess Masako, who gave birth to Princess Aiko on Dec. 1, leaves Togu Palace in Tokyo's Motoakasaka district on Dec. 30 for the Imperial Palace to meet Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko. It was the first time for the new mother to leave her home since she was discharged from the Imperial Household Hospital on Dec. 8.
