NIIGATA, Japan - People gather in a municipal gymnasium in Niigata on the Sea of Japan coast Jan. 22 to get tickets to a court ruling on the case of Nobuyuki Sato, charged with abducting a 9-year-old girl in 1990 and keeping her prisoner in his home in Niigata Prefecture for more than nine years.
