Koizumi panel to draft gov't biotech strategy by year-end

TOKYO, Japan - Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi addresses the inaugural meeting of his panel on biotechnology held his office on July 18. Panel chief Tadamitsu Kishimoto (L), president of the state-run Osaka University, told the meeting it plans to compile by the year-end a strategy to make the sector more competitive in the global market.
