Nissan expects record operating profit in 1st half

TOKYO, Japan - Nissan Motor Co. Carlos Ghosn speaks at a press conference at a hotel in Tokyo's Koto Ward on Oct. 23 about the company's midterm earnings. Ghosn said Nissan expects to post a record 348 billion yen in group operating profit for the first half of fiscal 2002 ended Sept. 30.
