NEC sacks Sekimoto from adviser post
TOKYO, Japan - NEC Corp. dismissed Adviser Tadahiro Sekimoto (file photo), who once led the high-tech powerhouse as president and chairman, at an ad-hoc board meeting Dec. 3. The company appeared to have decided to sack Sekimoto, 76, as he has repeatedly criticized the current management policies publicly since he resigned from the board in June 2000.
