J-Phone to launch 3G mobile service

TOKYO, Japan - J-Phone Co. President Darryl Green shows his firm's new third-generation (3G) mobile phone at a news conference in Tokyo on Dec. 3. J-Phone, a mobile phone company affiliated with Britain's Vodafone Group PLC, will launch its 3G mobile phone service on Dec. 20, featuring globally used functions to allow users to make calls in 50 countries.
