(2)Gatherings to discuss Constitution held around nation
TOKYO, Japan - Former Defense Agency Director General Kazuo Aichi speaks on the need to revise Japan's Constitution at a convention held in Tokyo on May 3, the 56th anniversary of the implementation of the war-renouncing constitution. The Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), of which he is a member, said in a statement that future discussions on the Constitution should focus on war-renouncing Article 9, given the tensions in Northeast Asia and changes in Japan's contribution to international affairs.
