KATHMANDU, Nepal - Sir Edmund Hillary speaks at a news conference at the British Embassy in Kathmandu on May 28 as his wife June watches. Hillary, who first scaled the summit of Mt. Everest in 1953, is in Nepal to attend celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the first ascent of the mountain.
