"Walking around Washington, D.C., the capital of the U.S., you may find some people living in a tent on the street. This is the epitome of America's homeless problem, which is getting worse since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. This week, the Los Angeles mayor sought to highlight homelessness by declaring a state of emergency on the issue. According to the National Low Income Housing Coalition, 7 million extremely low-income renters cannot get affordable homes across the U.S. In the middle of winter, lives for those people have become even harder.
