Experts hold int'l symposium on prevention of carp herpes
YOKOHAMA, Japan - Ronald Hedrick, a professor at California State University, delivers a keynote address at a symposium held in Yokohama on March 13 to discuss preventive measures on carp herpes, which hit carp farmers in Japan late in 2003. Hedrick said despite the common belief that the virus is not active in cold water temperatures, research showed that even at a water temperature of 13 C, the virus survived for two months.
