NEC's group net balance returns to black in FY 2003

TOKYO, Japan - NEC Corp. President Akinobu Kanasugi smiles as he announced the group's earnings results for fiscal 2003 at a news conference in Tokyo on April 28. NEC said its group net balance swung into the black due partly to buoyant sales of cellphones and optical disk drives.
