Toyota unveils new multipurpose vehicle produced in Indonesia
JAKARTA, Indonesia - Toyota Motor Corp. unveiled on Sept. 1 what it calls an ''Innovative International Multipurpose Vehicle'' produced at its Karawang plant in West Java. The new vehicle, called the Kijang Innova (photo), is powered by either a 2.0-liter gasoline engine or a 2.5-liter diesel engine. The Kijang Innova is one of five multipurpose models developed by Toyota for production mainly in Indonesia, Thailand, Argentina and South Africa, the automaker said.
