Yokohama owner Sunahara resigns after scouting scandal
TOKYO, Japan - Yukio Sunahara (R), owner of the Central League baseball club Yokohama BayStars, bows during a news conference at a hotel in Tokyo on Oct. 22. Sunahara announced his resignation to take responsibility for the team's paying money for Yasuhiro Ichiba, a 22-year-old former Meiji University pitcher, in violation of collegiate baseball bylaws.
