Japan launches court for intellectual property rights

TOKYO, Japan - Katsumi Shinohara, the first president of the newly instituted Intellectual Property High Court, speaks at a press conference at the Tokyo High Court on April 1. The new court, a special division of the Tokyo High Court, has 18 judges and specialized investigators, as well as external experts to advise the judges.
