Tsujimoto to run in lower house election on SDP ticket

OSAKA, Japan - Former Social Democratic Party lawmaker Kiyomi Tsujimoto announces she will run in the Sept. 11 House of Representatives election on an SDP ticket on Aug. 16. She was convicted of fraud for misusing state funds purportedly for her secretaries and received a suspended prison term in February last year.
