Inpex, Teikoku Oil to integrate operations next April

TOKYO, Japan - (From L to R) Inpex Corp. President Naoki Kuroda, Chiarman Kunihiko Matsuo and Teikoku Oil Co. Chairman Akira Isono and President Masatoshi Sugioka hold a joint press conference in a Tokyo hotel to announce an agreement to integrate their operations in April 2006 under a joint holding company and completely merge in June 2008 in a bid to survive cutthroat competition on the global scene.
