Toyota unveils high-end Lexus luxury car

TOKYO, Japan - Toyota Motor Corp. Vice President Kazuo Okamoto stands beside a Lexus luxury car brand's high-end model, the LS, at a press conference in Tokyo on April 26. The company plans to put the LS on sale as the successor to the Celsior in Japan in September. Toyota plans to launch a gasoline-fueled version powered by a 4.6-liter engine in September and a gasoline-electric hybrid version next spring. It will introduce the LS in foreign countries this fall or later.
