Oh to have surgery, temporarily leave post as Hawks manager

FUKUOKA, Japan - Softbank Hawks manager Sadaharu Oh tells a press conference at Yahoo Dome Stadium in Fukuoka on July 5 that he will undergo surgery on a stomach tumor and temporarily leave his post. Oh, 66, is the all-time home run king of Japanese baseball and guided Japan to the inaugural World Baseball Classic title in March.
