Jojima marks record hits total for AL rookie catcher
SEATTLE, United States - Seattle Mariners' catcher Kenji Jojima (L) responds to spectators after singling to right to mark his 147th hit of the season in a game against the Texas Rangers at Safeco Field in Seattle on Oct. 1. He ended his first season in the majors with a .291 average, 18 homers, 76 RBIs and 147 hits, a record hits total for an American League rookie catcher.
