Bridge builders fined 6.4 billion yen for bid rigging

TOKYO, Japan - People line up to get tickets to enter the Tokyo High Court on Nov. 10 to hear the ruling on bid rigging by bridge builders. The court ordered 23 bridge builders to pay 6.48 billion yen in penalties for rigging bids in tenders for bridge-construction projects financed by the state and the now-defunct Japan Highway Public Corp.
