Hitachi, GE to sign strategic tie-up on nuclear business
TOKYO, Japan - Hitachi Ltd. President Kazuo Furukawa (L) and Rudolph Villa, president of GE Energy's Nuclear Energy-Asia, shake hands at a press conference at a Tokyo hotel on Nov. 13. They said that the two companies will set up joint ventures in Japan and the United States to construct nuclear power plants under a strategic tie-up to promote nuclear business operations based on boiling water reactors.
