Psychiatrist-essayist Saito dies at 90
TOKYO, Japan - Psychiatrist and essayist Shigeta Saito (file photo, taken June 2000) died of heart failure at a Tokyo hospital on Nov. 20, his family said Nov. 21. He was 90. The eldest son of renowned poet and psychiatrist Mokichi Saito (1882-1953), Saito served as head of a mental hospital and published numerous essays focusing mainly on family affairs.
