China's top court rules for Yamaha in trademark lawsuit

BEIJING, China - Displayed at a Beijing hotel on June 12 are scooters carrying a ''Japan Yamaha'' tag. China's supreme court has ordered four Chinese companies to pay a total of 8.3 million yuan (about $1 million) in damages to Yamaha Motor Co. for selling scooters carrying the Yamaha brand name.
