Chinese group sues Japanese firms over wartime forced labor
BEIJING, China - Kang Jian, a lawyer representing a group of 37 people suing two Japanese companies over wartime force labor, holds up a copy of charging documents during a press conference in Beijing on Feb. 26, 2014, after filing a lawsuit with the Beijing No. 1 Intermediate People's Court to seek compensation of 1 million yuan (about $163,000) for each victim of wartime forced labor in Japan.
