Fukuda, Aso file for LDP leadership, clash over policy
TOKYO, Japan - Former Chief Cabinet Secretary Yasuo Fukuda (R) and Liberal Democratic Party Secretary General Taro Aso speak to the press at the LDP headquarters on Sept. 15 after they filed their candidacies for the party's presidential election on Sept. 23 to succeed Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. They clashed over issues surrounding North Korea and Tokyo's war-related Yasukuni Shrine.
