Maehara to review JAL's restructuring plan, rules out bankruptcy

TOKYO, Japan - New transport minister Seiji Maehara speaks during a press conference at the transport ministry on Sept. 17, 2009. Maehara said he will speedily review the recovery plan of struggling Japan Airlines Corp. but emphasized that bankruptcy for Japan's biggest carrier is not an option for the country's aviation industry.
