Ex-minister Masuzoe submits resignation to LDP to form new party
TOKYO, Japan - Former Health, Labor and Welfare Minister Yoichi Masuzoe (front) and Tetsuro Yano, former state secretary for foreign affairs, arrive at the headquarters of the main opposition Liberal Democratic Party in Tokyo on April 22, 2010, to submit their letters of resignation from the LDP. Masuzoe will hold a press conference on April 23 to launch a new party ahead of this summer's House of Councillors election.
