Court extends detention of 3 ex-Khmer Rouge leaders
PHNOM PENH, Cambodia - Ieng Thirith, a former Khmer Rouge minister of social affairs, attends a public hearing at the U.N.-backed tribunal at the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia on the outskirts of Phnom Penh on April 30, 2010. The court decided to keep her, her husband Ieng Sary, former Khmer Rouge foreign minister, and Khieu Samphan, former Khmer Rouge head of state, in detention for another year.
