Saibara's 'manga' on real life win hearts

TOKYO, Japan - 'Manga' cartoonist Rieko Saibara holds up figurines of characters in her comic book series ''Mainichi Kasan'' (everyday mom) during an interview in Tokyo on Dec. 21, 2010. Several of Saibara's cartoon series have been adapted into films since 2009, with ''Mainichi Kasan'' being the latest and fifth one, scheduled to start showing in February. It depicts the 46-year-old cartoonist's own struggles in life -- being a mother of two and a wife of an alcoholic, getting divorced and then taking her dying ex-husband back into her home as he fights cancer.
