Permoveh, or Personal Mobile Vehicle, can move back and forth, from side to side, or obliquely as it uses omnidirectional wheels.

                TOKYO, Japan - University of Tokyo Professor Shoji Takeuchi holds a bottle containing an artificial joint at the university's Institute of Industrial Science in Tokyo's Meguro Ward on Oct. 24, 2014.
