Chinese court imprisons activist couple

BEIJING, China - Photo shows human rights activist and former lawyer Ni Yulan (R) and her husband Dong Jiqin living homeless at a park in Beijing in May 2010. Hong Kong media reported that a Chinese court on April 10, 2012, sentenced the couple to prison on charges of causing a nuisance and committing fraud. Ni used to help Falun Gong practitioners and homeowners whose houses were demolished.
