Japan's notorious suicide site near Mt. Fuji

KOFU, Japan - Photo taken in April 2012 shows a sign standing near the entrance to the Aokigahara Jukai forest, a notorious magnet for those wishing to commit suicide, in Yamanashi Prefecture, which reads: ''Life is a precious gift from your parents'' and ''Please do not worry all by yourself and talk to us.'' A help line number is also provided. The message is intended to deter those entering the forest that stretches northwest of Mt. Fuji with suicidal thoughts from killing themselves.
