Osprey flying in helicopter mode

NAHA, Japan - Photo taken from a Kyodo News airplane shows U.S. Marine Corps' MV-22 Osprey aircraft flying in vertical take-off and landing mode -- helicopter mode -- over an area of the city of Ginowan, Okinawa Prefecture, on Oct. 6, 2012. Under the bilateral agreement reached in September that year, Ospreys are restricted to flying in such mode only within the boundaries of U.S. military facilities and areas "except as operationally necessary."
