New maglev train model

KOFU, Japan - Photo taken in Tsuru, Yamanashi Prefecture, on Nov. 22, 2012, shows the Central Japan Railway Co. (JR Tokai) L0 series car, a new magnetically levitated train designed for commercial runs. The train's delivery to the railway yard of a test line was unveiled to the press the same day by JR Tokai.

                      A 710-meter tunnel is completed in Fujikawa, Yamanashi Prefecture, on Oct. 13, 2023, for Central Japan Railway Co.'s Linear Chuo Shinkansen maglev trains that will run between Nagoya and Tokyo at speeds of about 500 kilometers per hour.
