Japan dispatches gov't aircraft to Algeria

TOKYO, Japan - Senior Vice Foreign Minister Shunichi Suzuki meets the press at the ministry in Tokyo on Jan. 22, 2013, ahead of his departure for Algeria later in the day. Suzuki boarded a government aircraft that left for Algiers to bring home the bodies of seven Japanese as well as seven survivors of the Algerian hostage crisis. Three other Japanese employees of engineering firm JGC Corp. remain unaccounted for.
